First Alibaba.com Multan Seller Summit Held with Focus on Boosting E-commerce Exports

  

 Alibaba.com, a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) trade, successfully hosted its first seller summit in Multan to highlight export opportunities available to local businesses from online commerce, reaffirming its commitment to helping exporters in the region enter the global market. The event was attended by more than 250 participants including over 100 participants who tuned in online.

The Alibaba.com seller summit, titled “Multan Seller Summit- Export! KYA? KYUN? AUR KAISE- Alibaba.com ke saath”, discussed various aspects of B2B e-commerce in the global market and how Pakistani exporters can tap the opportunity. Alibaba.com representatives also provided the participants with tips and advice on equipping themselves with the necessary skills and tools to thrive as sellers on Alibaba.com.

The event featured a line-up of speakers from Alibaba.com as well as prominent industry leaders from Multan, including Ms. Amy Li, Marketing Head at Alibaba.com Pakistan; Mr. Sheikh M. Asim Saeed, Vice President, Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industries; Mr. Malik Junaid Ashraf, Alibaba.com Certified Trainer; MD. Shazil Majeed, Co-Founder, Epic Crafting; and Mr. Tanveer Nandla, Founder of Iskills Pakistan.Talking on the event Ms. Amy Li said, “We are overwhelmed to visit Multan as this region has huge untapped potential for e-commerce export development. We wish to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) here achieve sustainable growth by building their presence on our digital marketplace and boosting their visibility among global buyers, and in turn help promote the country’s export.”

Alibaba.com has been supporting the growth of SMEs since 1999 with digital tools designed specifically for B2B trade such as custom digital storefronts,communication tools, AI-powered buyer-supplier matching, customer and platform analytics and online trade shows. The platform has been dedicating efforts to onboarding Pakistani businesses to make global trade more accessible to local SMEs.

Huawei and OPPO Sign Global Patent Cross-licensing Agreement

  Huawei and OPPO announced the signing of a global patent cross-licensing agreement, which covers cellular standard essential patents, including 5G.
